Hi there, welcome to my website. I have been exploring music since I was thirteen, playing a variety of instruments and writing songs in a wide range of genres. Over the years I have picked up guitar, drums, bass, piano, mandolin, violin and other instruments.

This website serves as a small catalogue of my musical endeavours. It also preserves my own personal musical history – probably facts that are really only important to those involved. But I thought these should still be catalogued somewhere…
There are a lot of musical projects in which I have been a part, in numerous genres, styles and in various roles – from performance to production. An extensive history is available here.
It was early in my musical journey that I gave up learning instruments to just plain silly levels of proficiency. I heartily admire specialists, but I have realized that I am just not tailored to this kind of focus – I have to keep the big picture in mind. Instead, I have taken the time to understand instruments (and my voice) as individual tools that can be combined mathematically, scientifically and emotionally to create a sum greater than the parts.
I am primarily a musician, and never considered myself a great songwriter. I tend to write music as music first. The lyrics are the last thing written and generally flow from the music. Normally I just pick out the melody of one of the instruments and adapt it for a vocal line.
